Riggs Napoleon Interview

I also interviewed a friend of mine who always has a smile to go with his dyed blond hair. He is always friendly and everyone knows him around at Kaiser bowls.

ME: what is your full name, and where are you from?

Friend of mine: I’m Riggs Napoleon. I’m From Pearl City.

ME: How old are you? And when did you start stand-up paddleing?

Riggs: I’m 10 years old . . . (thinking) I started about 2 years ago

ME: Where do you like to Paddleboard?

Riggs: Here (Kaiser bowls), Macaha. . . I go White Plains a lot too.

ME: do you do any other ocean activities?

Riggs: I surf, go diving, and canoe surf.

ME: wow cool

Riggs: oh and I drive the boat when our family goes fishing.

ME: awesome. Do you compete in SUP contests?

Riggs: . . small kine. Not that much really.

ME: do you do good?

Riggs: of course!

ME ( laughing) ok, would you wanna get sponsored?

Riggs: yeah sure!

ME: DO you think you’ll be stand-up paddleing all your life?

Riggs: yeah. I mean I’m not gonna just give it up. It’s fun.

ME: who else do you know who does SUP?

Riggs: My dad, my cousins, other realtives. . .

ME: How does stand-up paddleing benefit you?

Riggs ( thinking hard) . . . um, it helps me improve my surfing.

ME: that’s good. Any last comments?

Riggs: Watch out, there’s a new boss in town!
