Amanda Roe

Amanda Roe is one of Everpaddle’s adventure ambassadors. The outdoors and adventure have always called to Amanda, whether out exploring trails on foot, horseback, or by paddle, as well as by backpacking, rock climbing, biking, surfing, diving, swimming around islands or sailing, it is being out in the fresh air and traveling that make her soul smile. This appreciation of and love for natural environments inspired Amanda to pursue a degree in Environmental Studies at UCSB, where she became increasingly aware of and interested in the principles of sustainable development, ecological restoration and conservation. She aspires to influence the ways in which we all relate to the natural world by figuring out how to develop more long-term symbiotic relationships between people and the environment. Her latest addiction over the past several years has been traveling to both national and international destinations as often as possible and through the world’s oceans on boats both big and small. With over 40 countries under her feet to date, she is starting to feel like she might just be beginning to scratch the surface of all that is out there to discover and can’t wait to see all that there is left to explore of both the known and the unknown.
